In 1997 Terry and Lynaire Barry started experimenting with growing Nikau palms on their property in Granity - this soon became an obsession! Now those initial experiments have evolved into a truly inspiring Nikau nursery with literally thousands of palms ranging in size!

The extent of their operations has meant massive renovations to ensure good health of the palms. If you're interested in acquiring some of these beautiful palms and in the Buller District then checking out the nursery is well worth the visit!
